Family Manners K9 LLC Boarding and Training ... because family matters.
We are a family whose passion is building a strong and lifelong relationship between handler and dog with a family centered training approach.
Jordyn started her career in the animal world training horses and eventually youngsters to ride them. After a car accident kept her from riding again, she moved to training service dogs for veterans with PTSD. She married Austin and shared her love of dogs with him and they spent some years breeding and raising poodles and doodles with their two daughters. Jordyn went on to earn her bachelors degree in psychology focusing on behavioral psychology. She used this knowledge of behavior, motivation, and the development of children and animals to really hone her skills of dog training. With a few hundred dogs trained by her, she has the experience to really understand the needs of each dog she trains. She is continuing her education in the psychology field to earn her masters degree in applied behavior analysis (working with children with autism) and continuing to grow the family business. Jordyn has a PTSD service dog that she trained herself named Phoenix. Jordyn's mission is to provide each family with the dog they always dreamed of through training both human and dog.
Austin became interested in dogs when he was a young child. He always had a dog in the family and was an avid outdoors lover with those dogs. Once he met and married Jordyn, he started his journey down the professional path of dogs. Austin adored his years with his wife and children breeding and raising poodles and doodles and soon began learning from his wife how to train dogs. He has worked over 2 years training dogs and has over a hundred trained by him. He desires to give each owner and their pup the best life they can have through obedience and with confidence.
We are a family based training team and love to show our kids the love we have for dogs. Once reliably trained, our kiddos love to help in the training process to really add that extra special touch into the mix. They have their own dogs that they have trained themselves and work regularly. Our oldest daughter has 2 dogs; a sable colored german shepherd named Rivian and a parti AKC standard poodle named Beckett. Our youngest daughter has a golden doodle named Maeve.
